The villa was solidly built about 30 years ago.It has 4 bedrooms 3 ensuite bathrooms and separate shower and toilet upstairs and air-conditioning.

Downstairs it has one large room with sitting room and dining room and a mobile air-conditioner.  This leads through to the kitchen/breakfast room.  The kitchen has a cooker with both gas and electricity hobs and electric oven, microwave,  a dishwasher and a fridge and freezer.  An electric  kettle, toaster, mixer and blender are included.   One of the bedrooms is downstairs with its ensuite bathroom, - this would be the one for disabled access from the carparking area.  There is also access to the barbecue terrace from there.  Downstairs  there is a utility room with toilet, basin and washing machine.

A conservatory leads off the sitting room - with another room which has an indoor barbecue and sink.  There is a TV, video recorder and satellite programmes, together with radio and cassette player.  Below the house is a large cellar.  The garden is terraced with stone paving and another large outside barbecue.  A  track leads down to the nearest swimming cove, but there are many tracks leading to different coves.

Shopping in the local area is excellent. Supermarkets, a restaurant and a petrol station are  within 10 minutes drive  .If you take the main road at the top of the hill in the direction of Split and Metkovic, these are at the bottom of the hill.  Also there is the Hotel Merlot with  a coffee shop where you can sit outside and Pizza oven in the large restaurant.  The food is good (even the Pizzas!) and the owner has his own vineyards.   This might be a possible hotel to stay for the odd night if required

On the way to Ploce from Metkovic, there are lots of stalls selling local fruit and veg in season and you can usually buy honey  and, sometimes local cheese, from these stalls.  Ploce itself has several restaurants and shops .

Other places locally are worth visiting... one is Blace(pronounced Blatse) is a typical seaside Dalmatian village built around a bay with fishing boats moored in it.You can reach it from a side road off the main road, but you can also walk there along a military track from Kremena. The other place  Klek which is along the main road in the direction of Dubrovnik. This has a nice hotel restaurant on the beach but it might get crowded in summer. Above it is a track to Smrdan Grad ( Bloody Castle), but we recommend that you drive to the castle and walk down. On the way to Klek near the village of Komarna, is a new bridge to the Pelisjac. You can walk direct to Komarna, where there are 2 restaurants, one of which you must book in advance. This also applies to a new restaurant  (our nearest) at Duba.
